This is the perfect tour for a family visiting Orlando and thinking of sending their next superstar student to UCF, America’s largest university, or who are just interested in seeing another part of Orlando that most tourists never do! We’ll bring you out of the tourist zone for a day to get a sense of the campus life at the alma mater of comedian Daniel Tosh, actress Cheryl Hines and Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles as you take in the student union, the sports complex, Greek Row and other parts of the school. Our guides are former UCF students or faculty who can speak to you first hand about the university and who can also customize your visit! While at UCF, you’ll be surprised to see how close you are to the city of Orlando on one hand, but also near the wild natural settings of Seminole County on the other hand as we take a short journey to visit Florida’s most gator infested lake. We’ll lend you some binoculars as you tour beautiful Lake Jesup by airboat to see Florida’s real wildlife in its home setting, from alligators to turtles to bald eagles. After your boat ride, you’ll have time to stop by the gift shop or have a quick drink on us before we return you back to the tourist zone after your great day in the country!

Following President John F. Kennedy’s September 1962 speech, in which he described his goal of accomplishing a manned space flight to the moon by the end of the decade, the space program grew in importance and scope in Central Florida because of its proximity to Cape Canaveral. This led to the founding of Florida Technological University a year later, with its “Citronaut” mascot and “Reach for the Stars” motto. In just 55 short years, FTU has now become the University of Central Florida (or UCF for short), the Citronaut has long been replaced, first by the Golden Knights, and now simply the Knights; and several years ago, UCF bypassed Arizona State University to become the largest university in America by enrollment.
This tour is only offered in English. Florida weather is unpredictable and may impact the tour. If the weather is deemed unsafe by our guide due to weather conditions prior to commencement of the tour, Original Orlando Tours will offer a substitute tour at the original day and time, offer a credit to be used on any future Original Orlando Tours adventure, or fully refund the tour fee, the choice of which is at the option of our special guests impacted by the weather disruption. There are no refunds once the tour has commenced (i.e., the vehicle has left your departure point). This tour also includes an Orlando discount savings booklet. Please Note: Life vest and ear protection are provided to all tour guests. Children under six years of age are required to wear life vests, ear protection, and eye protection while on the airboat. Children can bring their own eye protection along (glasses, sunglasses and goggles qualify) or purchase protection in the gift shop. We suggest wearing a hat, comfortable shoes and sunscreen to make your tour an enjoyable one in warm months as well as a jacket in cooler weather.
