Tour Overview

Head out of town away from the traffic and crowds of the Orlando tourist zone to swim in the crystal clear waters of nearby Wekiwa Springs, where the water is a refreshing 72 degrees year-round!

The natural swimming spring is located in the woodsy setting of one of the area’s beautiful state parks, a perfect place for enjoying the clean, fresh water as well as spreading out a blanket, relaxing in the Florida sun and having a picnic. Individual size flotation devices are allowed in the swimming area.

This state park is where many local Orlandoans go to enjoy fresh water flowing from the underground Florida aquifer and is not generally well known to most tourists. Wekiwa Springs provides a memorable “real Florida” leisure experience in a truly natural setting that you will remember long after your visit!

Season/Time:

Approximately 4 hours total. Please note that Orlando traffic conditions can vary widely while I-4 is under construction. This tour typically operates March – December.

Cancellation Policy:

You may receive a full or partial refund by notifying us via email at info@originalorlando.com of the cancellation. No refunds shall be issued for cancellations not received at least 72 hours in advance of the starting time and date of your tour. Please review your Terms and Conditions document for other cancellation provisions.

Sunny’s Local Tips and Bits:

The water in the springs comes from underground is tends to be cooler, but you will likely find your body adjusting quickly under the hot Florida sun. There are also canoes to rent on site to paddle on the Wekiwa river just outside the swimming zone.

Other:

This tour is only offered in English. Florida weather is unpredictable and may impact the tour. If the springs are closed or deemed unsafe by our guide due to weather conditions prior to commencement of the tour, Original Orlando Tours will offer a substitute tour at the original day and time, offer a credit to be used on any future Original Orlando Tours adventure, or fully refund the tour fee, the choice of which is at the option of our special guests impacted by the weather disruption. There are no refunds once the tour has commenced (i.e., the vehicle has left your departure point). This tour also includes an Orlando discount savings booklet. We suggest wearing a hat, comfortable shoes and sunscreen to make your tour an enjoyable one. The facilities at Wekiwa Springs State Park contain three restrooms: one in the picnic area, one at the rear of the park’s concession and one above the swimming area. The swimming area restroom contains changing rooms. Diving and jumping are not permitted. No lifeguards are on duty. Snorkelers and swimmers do so at their own risk. Children and non-swimmers should be accompanied by an adult swimmer at all times.
