In the fall of 1948, 20 years before there was a Land of Make Believe, Rollins College student Joanne Byrd volunteered with some friends to show incoming transfer student Fred Rogers (one day to be of Mister Rogers Neighborhood fame) around the campus and the town of Winter Park. And so were planted seeds that would blossom into a lifetime relationship of love, and an adventure beyond their dreams.
Join us as we walk through the same streets as Fred and Joanne, see their sites and Florida home, and hear the heart-touching stories of a love affair for the ages which began and continued in beautiful Winter Park on the Fred & Joanne – A Winter Park Love Story walking tour.
The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes
