Tour Overview

Say goodbye to Mickey for a day as Original Orlando Tours whisks you away to the Southern charms and delights of historic Clermont! Central Florida has several quaint and iconic towns where you can feel like you are back in the era prior to the arrival of Disney Word, Sea World and Universal Studios, and Clermont, Florida is one of those special places! We’ll bring you out of the urban jungle of the tourist zone on a short drive out to the country. Your journey starts with a quick stop at the iconic Florida Citrus Tower. The Florida Citrus Tower, until recently, has been the tallest observation structure in Florida at 226 feet tall (69 m) and containing a 360-degree observation deck. Next we’ll visit the historic downtown of Clermont on the shores of Lake Minneola. Our first stop is the Clermont Historical Village Museum for a tour of preserved and exact replicas from the region’s past, including the original train depot, several houses and the Herring Hooks one room schoolhouse. Clermont is known for its quaint shops, antiques and cafes, and after the museum visit, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the village on your own. Then we’ll wrap up your day in the country with a stop at a local winery, where you will experience a 15-minute video presentation showing the evolution of a bottle of wine, from the growing of the Florida grapes, to the actual wine making process, and finishing with the bottling and labeling. To close out your visit, you’ll be escorted to the production area of the local winery to try some complimentary samples from a selection of award-winning wines, ranging from dry to sweet!

• This tour is not wheelchair accessible

Season/Time:

Approximately 4 hours total (add one hour for each tour upgrade selected above). Please note that Orlando traffic conditions can vary widely while I-4 is under construction. This tour typically operates all year.

Cancellation Policy:

You may receive a full or partial refund by notifying us via email at info@originalorlando.com of the cancellation. No refunds shall be issued for cancellations not received at least 72 hours in advance of the starting time and date of your tour. Please review your Terms and Conditions document for other cancellation provisions.

Sunny’s Local Tips and Bits:

The local winery may be able to ship bottles that you purchase directly to your home. Check with them on site to see if your state is eligible for shipping. The Florida Citrus Tower was built in 1956, for decades the major tourist attraction in Clermont!

Other:

This tour is only offered in English. Florida weather is unpredictable and may impact the tour. If the weather is deemed unsafe by our guide due to weather conditions prior to commencement of the tour, Original Orlando Tours will offer a substitute tour at the original day and time, offer a credit to be used on any future Original Orlando Tours adventure, or fully refund the tour fee, the choice of which is at the option of our special guests impacted by the weather disruption. There are no refunds once the tour has commenced (i.e., the vehicle has left your departure point). This tour also includes an Orlando discount savings booklet. We suggest wearing a hat, comfortable shoes and sunscreen to make your tour an enjoyable one in warm months as well as a jacket in cooler weather. PLEASE NOTE: On-site age-verification is required to participate in the wine tasting. For US citizens a state issued driver’s license, military ID, or state ID card is required. International guests must have an original passport. The local winery grants no exceptions to these rules.
